“What are trapped emotions, and why would I have them?”

Good question...

When we have challenging experiences, we often experience “negative” or lower vibration emotional states. These negative emotions flow through our body and we can feel them in every fibre of our being. You know it, you’ve been there, that experience that stirred within you intense emotions that stayed with you for hours, days, weeks or even months.

Whether you were left feeling angry, sad, lonely, heartbroken or humiliated, those emotions have a physical effect on your body and your mind. Very often these emotions are too much for your body to process, and the energy of that emotion, along with the memory gets trapped. This is called a Trapped Emotion.

These Trapped Emotions, have a specific vibration, and are linked to the memory of that experience. This trapped emotion may be affecting you in the following ways:

Physical Discomfort - Our bodies are made up of energy, just like everything in the universe. Emotions are energy too, trapped emotions may get lodged in certain parts of the body and could cause imbalances. These imbalances may contribute to discomfort or pain.

Emotional imbalances - If you often feel sad, lonely, worried or suffer from anxiousness or negative emotions there is a possibility that trapped emotions from old traumatic experiences could be causing you to feel that way now.

Phobias or fears - If you have an irrational phobia or fear of certain environments, activities or places there may be trapped emotions from experiences that you don’t even remember, that are affecting you today.

Procrastination - Inability to take action and fear of ridicule or putting yourself out there may be linked to trapped emotions from prior experiences where your creativity, work or best efforts were either not recognised or you were made to feel they weren’t good enough.

Inability to find love or lasting relationships - When we have a lot of heartbreak or grief in our lives, our subconscious mind can build a wall around our hearts. This energetic wall can prevent us from feeling the love of others or prevent them from feeling the love we give. Guess what this Heartwall is made up of? Yup, Trapped Emotions. 8/10 people have a heartwall, you could have one too.

 Your subconscious mind is affecting your behaviour.

Our subconscious mind is a super computer. It captures, stores, analyses and categorises every experience, sight, smell, sound, touch and emotion we have had across our entire lives. It then uses this lifetime of experiences to help us on a daily basis. The main role of the subconscious mind is to protect us, and to ensure our survival and lastly to help us thrive.

Trapped Emotions affect our subconscious mind by impressing negative emotional influences on our past experiences. Our subconscious mind then uses these trapped emotions and memories to profile our current environment and situation and tells our body what to feel. This profile tells our body whether we should be relaxed, tense, happy, sad, confident or anxious. A negative experience from 10 years ago that your conscious mind has long forgotten could be affecting how you behave today.

What is The Emotion Code and how can it help?

The Emotion Code is an energy healing modality that works with the subconscious mind to find and release trapped emotions. Releasing these trapped emotions may help to reduce imbalances in the body and the mind. These imbalances may be causing negative emotional states or discomfort in the body.

Each session lasts typically an hour and can be carried out by video call anywhere in the world.

The Emotion Code is both safe and private. There is no need to share details of the experience unless you want to. There is no need to talk through, relive or experience the traumatic experience again.
